Building the Foundation for Future Success

Diverse Children Playing

College Bound has created a continuum of services to reach students before they get off track. Our Early Education, Out of School Time and Alternative Middle School programs prevent students from disconnecting from their education and ensure that they are entering or progressing through school at or above grade level. For more information about these programs and how to enroll, please contact the Student Placement Department at (617) 506-5910.

Early Education

Home-Based

Home-based Early Education is offered in safe, nurturing environments within a provider’s home.  Provider educators deliver developmentally appropriate activities to children between the ages of 3 months – 5 years of age. Providers are licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care and are monitored and supported by College Bound Dorchester staff.  Full-day, full-year programming is available in 10 home-based centers throughout Dorchester, Roxbury, Hyde Park, Roslindale and Mattapan. Fees are assessed weekly based on a published rate and subsidies are available through contracted and voucher slots.

Center-Based

Four center-based Early Education programs focus on both academic and social school readiness for children between the ages of 2.9 and 6 years. Staff within Early Education centers teach developmentally and age-appropriate curriculum that includes literacy, art and physical coordination. Full-day, full-year programming is offered in Dorchester. Fees are assessed weekly based on a published rate and subsidies are available through contracted and voucher slots.
